I believe that there is such a technology that may be showing promise. I am unaware how successful it has been, and it is certainly not something that is currently available to your average scientist or lab to use. If the reports are to be believed, a technology similar to what you are describing will available probably within 10 years.

if you are talking about an actual DNA, sorry but you need some technology for you to determine the DNA sequence.
