There were only two models available for this notebook. One included a Celeron while the other included a P3 500MHz processor. There's no support information in the Hardware Maintenance Manual as to whether the processor is soldered onto the board.

Most likely you will not be able to upgrade the processor.

You may upgrade the CPU, but most manufacturers advice not to change the specific combination of Board and Chip of your Laptop, they are intend to be as compatible as they were, no need to upgrade. But you can add memory and adjust the cache speed, try to ask assistance on some Laptop technicians.

vista has too many bugs and could in all probability run sluggish on a older device like yours. XP is a lot swifter and is a lot extra suitable good than vista. extra suitable useful to attempt that and a minimal of enhance the ram. probably even purely purchase a clean laptop.

Doubt it. It may be POSSIBLE, but not recommended... laptops tend to be touchy about that sort of thing.
