I had this recurring in my ears for months, until my kinesiologist told me what to do.
Go to a supermarket and get some hydrogen peroxide. Use an eye dropper and put some into the affected ear. It'll start to bubble and fizz straight away (feels funny!). Leave it in your ear until the bubbling has died right down or stopped.
Do this at least once a day until it clears up. It worked brilliantly for me. I now do it once a week just to keep things in there how they should be.
Do NOT stick cotton buds or anything in there. You could seriously damage your ear, you'll probably push the wax against your eardrum, causing hearing difficulties, and if you keep cleaning your ear out you'll probably do what I did.. Your ear canal is supposed to be lined with a zinc coating, which repels bacteria. Cleaning it constantly removes the coating, letting the bacteria have its way with you :)
So, along with the hydrogen peroxide, you might want to take a zinc supplement, and possibly look at a zinc+vit c lozenge, just in case any infection decides to spread down into your throat or nasal passage.
Hope this helps :)

Tropical Ear Infection

I have a son, Joey Niceforo, who is a young 27 year old tenor, with a group called "DESTINO" recording in Vancouver Bc, Canada.

For the last few weeks Joey has had a cold. Just a few days ago he developed an ear ache, a swollen ear and loss of hearing. He was diagnosed with serous otitis media (middle ear infection).

The major concern we have is that Joey and the Group DESTINO have been booked to open the Marie Osmond show in Disney World on April 3,

Have a quick remedy for our son??

Joey's ear got better just before flying.

He also got the special ear plugs for flying, and arrived in Florida, from Vancouver, on April 1st. On April 2nd he told us the ear was almost 100 percent, and he will, with the other, great DESTINO tenors be performing, in the COLORADO BALL ROOM DISNEY WORLD tonight at 7 pm.

This help was so effective, and helpful, to our young Canadian tenor, Joey Niceforo. I'm sure this input and therapy advice will, and has helped others.

breast milk doesn't cure ear infections and don't put it in your eyes either. Go and see your GP
