Can be any pair of players, in my opinion its MJ and Scottie but you also have to consider Magic and Kareem, Stockton and Malone, who probably would have won all those championships MJ and Scottie got if they werent around, im sure there are others im missing, Kobe and Shaq, maybe someday we'll need to mention Melo and Iverson, its got potential, possibly Wade and Shaq

After thinking about it, I only really see three maybe 4 duos you can argue, MJ and Pippen, Magic and Kareem, and Stockton and Malone, and if you go by championships you have to consider Kobe and Shaq. Im pretty convinced its MJ and Scottie but I could be convinced by a damn good answer that it is either magic and kareem or stockton and malone.

Must Admit I did not even consider Robinson and Duncun but are they really in the class of the rest of these guys?

Bill Russel and John Havlicek was the best duo in the NBA. They won 8 NBA championships together with the Boston Celtics in 60's and 70's. Bill Russel actually won 11. There both hall of famers. Bill Russel might be considered as one of the best NBA players that have ever played the game like Jordan or Kareem. Russel and Havliek have both been voted in the top 50 players of all time. There's no question that Bill Russel and John Havlicek was the best NBA duo of all time.

If you are looking at this from a longevity perspective, this award should go to the Utah Jazz duo of Karl Malone and John Stockton. As a team, they have a lot of accomplishments too numerous to mention (e.g., two NBA Finals appearances, co-MVP of the NBA All-Star game, an MVP award (Malone), all-time leader in steals and assists (Stockton), and second all-time in career points (Malone).

However, success is usually measured by how many times one reaches the pinnacle of their profession. If this was the basis, then the award would go to the Chicago Bulls Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen (e.g., 6 NBA titles, 5 MVP awards (Jordan), 6 Finals MVP awards (Jordan), Defensive player of the year (Jordan), All-Defensive first team (Jordan and Pippen), All-Star game MVP (Jordan and Pippen).

Hope this helps.

I honetly think it was Scottie and Michael Jordan. Think of it...who still holds to this day the longest winning streak ever? Thats right the bulls during their...98?...season. I dont remember the year...but they rocked it...and although people have come close...I still think that no one takes their title.
