Hasn't been for years, so I see no reason why it should be different this year

It's highly unlikey. Since records began in 1876 there have only been FOUR offical white Christmases i.e snow falling on Buckigham Palace between the hours of 00:00 and 23:59 on the 25th December.

No wonder the bookies are willing to take a bet on it.

Have checked the Met Office website this morning and if you think Fog looks white, then it could well be a white Christmas.

Not a chance. I wish it was, but I think it's more likely we'll have a cold foggy Christmas and then a lame attempt at whiteness in January or February. More slushy than snowy normally though. Boooo!!

I don't think so, but 2 years ago it started snowing on Christmas day about lunchtime in our backgarden(and surrounding area !) and they were big fluffy flakes that floated gently down so we went out and played in them, AAAAHHHHH, Lovely, and that was my best " White Christmas" ( Dorset)

M : )

P.S. Have also been out on the patio in August, playing scrabble in the sun when snow came in on us.... ( London)

Ho, hum: never a dull moment...

Who knows? I just talked to my boyfriend and he said Oslo had no snow!! (I'm in US right now, for personal things) However, I also spoke to a woman who works in New Mexico, USA, and she was practically crying because it snowed there! Natural cycles, global warming or alien conspiracy? Blah.

If not a white one, then definitely a rainy one (London).
