I have killed one in a trap.(It was behind the sink,I tried to let it out humanely).
My cat keeps bringing them home.
My man had to beat one up with a shoe.

I lived in a basement apartment yrs ago and I had to get mouse traps.Several got killed in the trap, and one ran across my foot.It was one of the scariest things I have ever seen.

I did it once. I laid a trap. When the rat was feeding on my trap, i jumped on it with a jute bag, the coarse ones. I did it so that the rat would not bite me and would not escape. Then i bundled it up and battered it to death. I did not have a look inside the bag, 'cause i knew it would be ghastly. Although i did not want to beat up the rat, but i had to cause it was bothering us for a long time. It is better to use a rat poison.

EWWW!!!!
No .. but hubby did ... just two weeks ago ... he used the handle of his umbrella to beat it to death .....

We live in a basement apt, and it had been raining hard for weeks, and flooding ... we didn't get water in our apt, but apparently the rats home flooded so he came in here through a slightly open window (that is now screened!!) and was walking near the ceiling on our tv cable .... how awful!! I had never had a rat in a place i lived in before. and I so hope never again!!

Only inadvertently. I'd just rigged up my video to the stereo and was playing The Damned full-blast and my girlfriend and mates were pogoing around and my poor pet rat Toaster had a heart attack and died. I was mortified.

I have killed many indirectly. I used to own constrictor snakes (3 ball pythons and a Columbian Boa). Just drop them in alive and they do all the work and clean up most of the mess (you will have to clean the cage in a couple of weeks, just keep it lined with newspaper).
