A highschool friendship, I should think, is the first taste of the impact of relationships in Human life , in the years to come. The body comes out of its buried secrets... budding moustache, the roughening of the voice , the awakening of sex, change in body chemistry.
The mind starts to fantasize. "Why some parts of the bodies are hidden?" it questions. "Why I am not able to control my urge?" the mind asks.
Together these drive the boy to seek answer for these NOT from his familar parents but from the others, boys and girls alike.. Thus friendship of a lasting nature arrives for the first time , outside of the family.

His profession because of the fact i doubt if a 10th grader quiet knows the meaning of genuine friendship. What he considers a real friendship isn't something extra beneficial than time bypass definitely.
