All of them with the exception of Toll roads, Toll bridges and private roads.
That's what we are supposed to pay our Road Fund licence for.
But beware this government is wanting to put Tolls on lots more roads to screw the motorist a bit more as they are running out of ideas of how next to screw us.

Almost all of them, apart from the bits of road which cross privately owned land, bridges or toll-road sections.

That's an awful lot of roads to maintain.

Compare the density of roads in the UK with somewhere like America, and you'll get the idea.

Depends what you mean by 'maintained' - the roads round where I live could do with some maintenance - The government takes £40bn from the motorist and spends about £10.53 on maintenance.
