Pet monster... a mates kid had one, it had amazing eyes, we used to get stoned... I mean drunk, sorry... and stare at it for hours.
Boglins, yep remember those too. 80's toys were cool, but I was a child of the 70's. we had skateboards, Evil kenevil stunt bikes and those pink panther car's with the pullcord and the flywheel... And the die-cast batmobiles with the pop out blade and the pipes that shot match sticks... Cool !
Space hoppers ( a'la Ivan Dobski of Monkeydust fame ) and deelyboppers ( springy antenna worn on the head ). Mousetrap from MB games and 'haunted house'.
There were UFO branded diecast toys, and space 1999 too.

Just after the film Convoy was released my parents got my a HUGE ( at the time ) pressed metal ertl toys car transporter (it was a mack) I also had Space lego and loats of star wars figures and at least three whole set's of the bubblegum cards.

Ahhhh headdy days and the long hot skateboarding summer of 76'

I'm 36 now... and all growed up. . . I have a responsible job and a kid and a car and..... I still have 8 big boxes of Lego in regular use, I play with all of my kid's toys ( we dont watch the telly) and I never ever intend to grow up. I play nintendo and Playstation, and I'm not the kind of guy who keeps the spotless diecast cars on a shelf 'for show'... I smash them about the floor and spraypaint them dubious colours for fun.

To quote Woody.....

"you are a TOYYYYY !!!!.... A Child's plaything !!"

Boglins!
Those jelly-like finger monsters with mini teeth!

Oh no, they weren't Boglins!
Boglins came in a box with a cage didn't they?
My brother had a brown Boglin, and he used to chase me around with it. They were puppets.

I remember Magic Worms! These fluffy worms that had an invisible thread, and you never knew how they were moving!

And Sylvanian Families...

I grew up in the late 60's and Gerry Anderson toys were all the rage then. Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Stingray, Joe 90 etc. Then in 1977 came Star Wars and it blew Gerry off the market.

I didn't had the ones yo mentioned and the only doll that I remember and I treasured was the one who cried or laughed, when her nipple was taken out and who used to open her eyes, when sat up and close them, when she was made to lie down. She had a soft body and was very cuddly. She looked just like a newborn.
