I know that i am at no risk in the pregnancy as already have a daughter but dont want to risk damaging the embreo but also need to find out what is causing me problems.

whilst i replaced into 4 weeks pregnant I experienced such discomfort. i presumed it replaced into my familiar era pains, even with the undeniable fact that it have been given so undesirable I went to the well being facility. they found out i replaced into pregnant. And did an ultrasound with this long skinny ultrasound thingy that they made me stick interior me, and that they could see the tiny speck and sac the place the toddler replaced into. grew to become out just to be a bad uti. some residing house being pregnant attempt wont come across it yet. yet blood paintings could desire to and an interior ultrasound and on occasion even an outdoors can see something interior the womb. yet it's going to be tiny and not appear as if a toddler in any respect .

How did you find out? Home Pregnancy test? Or were you at the doctor?

I would call the hospital right away and tell them that you found out that you're pregnant and ask if its OK to continue with the ultrasound. They will tell you if its something that could potentially be harmful to the developing fetus, or if its not.

I was scheduled to have my tonsils out when I found out I was pregnant. I went in for my pre-op work-up and told them I was pregnant and they cancelled my surgery, since it was elective. So, tell the doctors your pregnant and let them make the call. I would call ASAP and save yourself the trip if they are going to cancel your appointment.

i think you should have the ultrasound to establish how far along you are...months of cramping pains and bloatedness could have been months of pregnancy? the doctors would not do an ultrasound if it posed any threat to you or the baby. so unless you know when the baby was conceived i would go for the ultrasound. if you are unsure call the hospital and explain and they will advise you for the best. good luck!

Ultrasound Scans are done by running a probe over your abdomen, using ultrasonic gel. The probe emits SOUND waves and recives back the echo of them returning. The computer then interprets the signals and forms a picture. It's perfectly safe!
You'll be fine.

If it's an ultrasound that you're having, then it should be perfectly fine since that's what is used throughout pregnancy to measure the baby's growth, etc. You should avoid x-rays during pregnancy. I suggest that you mention that you are pregnant, just in case.

Go to your appointment, but ask the doctor when you get there if it will affect your bay in anyway. They will let you know and advise you properly.
Good Luck with the baby

Hi, i agree....... make sure you tell the doctor before they start but still go to the appointment. i think that its only the xrays they take when u have broken something, that can cause problems. but best check to put your mind at rest when you get there.

Good luck

I would not let them mess with you too much. I agree that the ulta sound is okay but do not let them open you up and poke around. Congradulations, and the best of luck to you.

an ultrasound scan will be fine. as long as you make any medical staff aware you are pregnant they will make sure they dont do anything which may harm the baby.
good luck.
