Some of them must do it for fun or to get on T.V. There are some who actually think they can sing and need that wake up call.

Can't wait til American Idol's shown over here (England) again.
For some reason watching it is funnier than watching those who think they can sing on the X-Factor etc...
Simon's great as he tells the truth straight out but it's entertaining to see people who think they can sing !

I like when they get upset, make fools of themselves and tell Simon they're going to be a star someday and he doesn't know what they're talking about. Then they play re-runs and this person is made a fool of over and over again. Very high opinion of themselves. Not that that's a bad thing, just how you use it.
