That's normal. I have a 21 month old who did the same thing when she was that age. I looked at the "foam wedges" they sell at the store and wasn't really crazy about them. I found that if you lay your daughter on her side, roll up two blankets (small ones like receiving blankets), place one behind your baby's back and one in front of her stomach it will keep her stationary on her side, which is just as safe. I did that from the time my daughter was a week old and am planning on using the same method again when my next daughter is born in March ~ it works great. Hope this helps!

My 9 month old does the same thing and has been since she was about 6 months old, I worried about it for a while but now, I just let her sleep how she's most comfortable. SIDS is most common in babies 6 weeks to 5 months, after that it still happens but is pretty rare. Just make sure that it isn't too warm in the house (it's been proven that if you keep the house too warm it can increase the chance of sids) and let her sleep.

My son did the same thing. The doctor told me once they are old enough to move around, if they roll to their stomach for sleeping it's fine. There's not much you can do.
At 6 months I wouldn't suggest a wedge, as the baby is moving so much there's the possibility (even if it is remote) they could move and wiggle and end up face into the wedge and suffocate.
The chance of SIDS significantly drops after 3 months.

You shouldn't worry. This is ok as long as you don't give her a pillow. If she's on her stomach and she by any chance has her face on the mattress making her not breath, the the baby's brain will trigger a signal making her wake up and turn her head to her side again. This is a normal reactions that all babies have.

I think that when a baby is old enough to roll over and move they are able to control their breathing. My daughter alwas slept on her stomach and with covers since the first day she came home. She is just fine. She slept best on her stomach.

Go to Burlington Coat factory in the baby section and they sell a pillow set designed to prop and support your baby while they are lying on their back. I just bought it for my goddaughter and she has no problem sleeping she is supported the entire night while she is sleeping.

as long as she doesnt have a pillow, she will be fine hun. shes capable of rolling now, so if shes at all uncomfy on her belly, she'll roll back to her back, if she uses a pilow though, it may be harder for her to roll back over, shes at the age now, where she can sleeo on her belly if thats the way she likes it. get yourself a good nights sleep hun
