My son started at 3 and a half months grabbing things..if you placed them in his hands..he would keep hold of it and shake them and stuff like that..and now he is 4 months and he picks things up that he can reach around him by himself..i guess it depends on the baby...

My daughter could hold things when she was 3 months but not really aware of what she doing, now she is 5 months and concentrate on grabbing things and inspecting diferent shapes, textures and noises of toys.

my baby is 5 mos and she has been grabbing things for about 2 1/2 mos now. Every baby is different though

Any time now. Mine started making attempts at around 2 1/2 - 3months, becoming succesively better at it. Now, at 5 1/2 months, if it isn't pinned down she'll get it in her mouth!
