I'm going to be at home in East London on Christmas Day this year and would like an idea of something nice to do.... like a nice walk to go on, or somewhere to go and sing carols, or a good pub that is perhaps open in the afternoon... any ideas?

Go down to Walford. They always have the Queen Vic open and there is always something happening in Albert Square - lol

Merry Christmas.

in case you haven't already booked a cafe for Christmas lunch, i'd propose you income this now as those get booked right away. one among you may force as there is 0 public shipping in London and black cabs will value the earth. As Christmas day is on a Saturday there isn't any congestion value and also you may not discover parking a difficulty as there are not any further going to be many wardens round. No shops are open (till you count number the unusual newsagent run by technique of someone of a diverse faith). if you're staying at a inn then the inn will likely have all centers open such as its eating position, bar and well being club (if it has one). you may locate some pubs that are open yet they're going to particularly be open to serve Christmas lunch and may no longer stay open all day. it could be beautiful to wander by skill of London on Christmas day because it will be almost empty of human beings and also you may be able to get places in place of merely squeeze previous all of us.

The best Christmas I ever had was spent with Jewish friends.

We went out and handed food to some homeless people in London, then had a party later!

They had a Christmas Tree with a "Star of David" at the top.....I kid you not!!

:)

Go help out in a homeless shelter? Crisis run special Christmas shelters from 23-30 December and they offer warmth, food and friendship to people who otherwise normally wouldn't have anything at Christmas.

Stay at home with your family and watch rubbish films, then fall asleep whilst still wearing your party hat. It's the only way to celebrate Christmas!!
