Broomstick is probably more agile than a dragon when it comes to dogfight.. But magic is unpredictable.
I like Harry Potter just a little bit more than Eragon, since HP-world is a school world.. If you cut all the magic away, it's quite realistic story about a boy that struggles through school years.
Eragon is a growing up story too.. But its a story of war, and in a duel that might bend the odds for Eragon.
Hard to say who would win. Probably Eragon with all that battle experience. Good books anyhow.

my favourite book if you wanting a great fantasy adventure has to be the Banned and Banished volumes by James Clemens
it starts of with Wit'ch fire there is a great plot , however in a fight between eragon and harry potter.....id hope eragon wins

Eragon, and I only say that because he could acess Harry's mind and sap his energy to cast magic. Harry is only a wizard, while Eragon is ...so much more. Favourite book would be Eragon too.

Eragon - has a Firebreathing dragon on his side whereas Harry has a ginger sidekick and a know it all girl who fancies the ginger kid waving tooth picks at bad people
