You all saw it on sports center. Carmelo obviouly came in after the brawl had already finished and threw that cheap haymaker.

Well he recived a 15 game for that blow and now Im starting to think is that even eanough? I know it could cost the nuggets their trip to the playoffs. But when do we say eanough is enough?

You can say that about the fighting in hockey...but what keeps the players from endangering the fans like it did in this brawl? Were is all the padding that players wear in that sport that not only add protection but also limit their hitting power? You just cant compare the 2 sports.

1 more thing...carmelo did this after the fight was already broken up. It was a random cheap shot and he escalated a dying situation, which is why he got 15 instead of 5 like the other players.

No, it wasnt. Thats just a slap on the wrist for him and he loses only about $700,000, please thats just how much a couple of his cars go for. It shouldnt matter who it costs the playoffs because they didnt think how it would make the league look when they decided to throw punches and go wild on each other. I think the next time this happens, they need to suspend them for a half a season and then maybe that will get the point across. If we wanted to see a fight in sports, we would go over to the Colorado Avalanche games and see some.

By the way, i dont think their season is lost with the Iverson trade to the Nuggets, I think that makes them a better team and they'll make the playoffs even without Carmelo.

Have a good day.

I feel that 15 games is about right, in terms of the suspension. But I am also pretty sure that the NBA Players Union will appeal the decision and it will eventually be reduced to 10 games (however, he would have probably served out the suspension by the time it is resolved, so it really wouldn't matter).

Overall, I believe that Carmelo was made an example of by the NBA. What Melo did was inexcusable, as his team's leader, he should have thought otherwise. But I guess, when you are in heat of the moment, everyone can falter under pressure.

Hope this helps.

anybody's asserting he could get extra suitable for working away. yet I see it any incorrect way. The punch became so wussy, i might take video games away. It for sure did not injury lots and it supplies Carmelo of project to get returned on the courtroom faster so something of the NBA can start up cracking jokes throughout video games approximately how he ran away after he threw his punch, lol. yet in all seriousness, i presumed 15 became too lots..i became waiting for 10 video games. This did not contain any followers so there wasn't going to be any Ron Artest variety punishment.

Everybody besides the original two participants should have been suspended. If you have two players who are having issues let em deal with it hockey style. Throw punches till one hits the floor and then break it up. I don't see when sports like baseball and basketball got so girly - why the hell does a whole team go jump on two guys who are having a conflict. Jesus.

He just plain unlucky....as he's a 'big' superstar in that group...so David Stern would use him as a warning to others..

That's what happens when you want to fight...you pay the consequences.
