~Smiles~ do Hanukkah gifts count ?
I have the world's greatest soon to be mother in law. However, she has a lot of stuff and clutter that as she puts it ... " colors my home and brightens my life " but it also makes gift giving difficult. I decided upon a professional portrait of my fiance, his two children ( who will soon be my children too ! ) and myself. I also gave her gasoline gift cards so she will visit us often, gift cards to a couple of her favorite restaurants, and a certificate for a day spa so she will have a day when she will be pampered as wonderfully as she pampers all of us ! Happy Holidays !!!

Nothing!...but I have a mother-in-law from hell!!...She didn't even bother sending her grandchildren a birthday card...nor have they received any Christmas cards yet..let alone presents!...she really does have a major problem! My hubby sent her a card yesterday..If it was up to me, she wouldn't even get that!
But it's her that missing out not us, she's missing out on 3 lovely grandchildren who don't even know who she is!..I'm glad she lives over 300 miles away!!

I'm not married, so I don't have a mother-in-law.

If I had one, I'd probably buy her a piece of jewelry. Or something from Japan, where I live, that she could use to decorate her house.
