Because on the whole we like to feel comfortable - when a variation to what we believe is given - we tend to defend what we know - to change a belief, we must pass through the unknown into a state of discomfort. Thats why most people stick with what they know or what they think they know and even when they don't know, they pretend they know to feel secure or to have a false sense of control..............

Even from various points of views the same questions arise. What is best possible view of the world? The best that any person can have in the view of this world is his or her opinion of it, and the best that many people can have is an agreement upon a commonly accepted best opinion about their world, as if there were only one person witnessing the best in existence. If this were not the case then we would not seek to agree; and if we were not always searching something better than all the things we have, we would not need to differ from one another.

In order to reach the best, which is the objective of an ever-searching mind, various possibilities are considered; maximum number of possible points of views is allowed in, each opinion places itself uniquely.

The variations in opinion are, in fact, the possibilities of what this world can really be. The fact is that people will never absolutely agree upon anything, as they are not just one singular person to see, but they are many to share what they see. It is as if there is essentially just one being displaced from its origin and placed into this world as many. The question therefore arises and is valid. Why do we not see things in exactly similarly? It is in the essence, the view of which we risk losing in forms that can differ so widely.

As individuals we have so many variables that affect our lives and outlooks. Prick 10 people with a pin and they all feel the pain differently. Eyewitness accounts of events can vary wildly. Then there is age, sex, upbringing, experience, perspective, opinion, parenting, politics, religion, culture etc etc etc.

A personal view is exactly that - personal. Ones 'view' is made up of millions of impulses and experiences that are only encapsulated in 'you'. You will not 'see' things in 'my' way because you are not me and vice versa.

I think this happens in degrees from conception through to death. We are constantly modifying and dealing with different events in our own personal framework and this makes the complexities of the 'person' more intricate and different.

This is a very interesting questiona nd one which lends itself to a couple of hours debate over a good bottle of red.....as to the 'we won't need legs to stand....?' I am not sure wot that means I would have to listen to the song and listen to what the writer meant and then contextualise it for myself.

Good luck and merry christmas x

Unless every atom of my being can be at the same place and time of every atom of your being, I never will understand the world as you do. This happened the moment I was born.

As an emotionally hurt friend once told me " don't tell me you understand how I feel, you're not me"

And she was right... emotionally and literally.

Peace

Everyone is an individual. How boring life would be if we all thought the same.
