you can try part time jobs in retail stores. However, if you have a vacation, and take up a summer project - it will provide valuable experience as well as hold weight in your resume.

You can apply for summer projects in hotels such as the orchid, or in banks or in factories such as Bislery. Send in your resume in Jan or feb with a covering letter. Email a reminder in March. Let them know you're interested in a summer project.

It may not pay much but the experience you get and the importance it holds is far greater than just any part time job.
