You should start your research at PMI (Project Management Institute). I managed a team of project leaders for a while, and we all took PMI courses and got certified. It was very worthwhile.

a degree in P.M. is a bit of a waste. But what I would suggest is a certificate in Project management. There are several universities which offer it, it is cheaper and faster to get, and you can focus a degree on business or something else.
