I have access to the server and i need a way to force this file to close. For this question just imagine the file is open on a computer in a locked room and noone has the key, because it might aswell be.

ADDITION : Please read the question, we cant access the computer that this file is open on.

ADDITION : Please assume I have the right permissions, and that I am infact god. All I need to know is how to do it. Please just answer the question.

ADDITION : I can use it, but i need to save it and it need to be saved as the same name.
Thanks to all for trying but i need to know how to remote close a file not a way to get round it.

u can save it with (save as option) different name than the prevoius one and make it usable and later u can get the previous file deleted when the computer gets unlock on which the file is opened.

you don't have the right level of permissions to close the file. nothing you can do about that.

You should be able to use it even if someone else is using it, all you have to do is configure your network settings!
