as an OB nurse for the last 21 years i can't tell you how many calls we get about the mucus plug, yukkk,, when your cervix ripens at the end of pregnancy and begins to open you loose your mucus plug it is not an indicator of labor it can start to go 3-4weeks to 3-4 hours before you go into labor and you never loose it all as your body continues to make it ti cover your cervix so women who lost it and call crying cuz it's coming out again can rest assured this is normal, now let's talk evidenced based practice first time mom's with good dates 70-80\% deliver at 40weeks 6 days 2nd time moms 39Weeks 1 day Labor usually starts with irreg contraction that can stay that way for hours eventually they get into a pattern and when they get to be every 3-5 min x 2 hrs the kind you really have to concentrate and breathe thru your probably ready to go to the hospital and be 3-4cm this is a general rule for first time moms

Yes you can go into labour at any time now.
My advice would be to stay as close to home as possible for the next few days.
If you need any errands done ask a family member.
This is such an exciting time in your life - very shortly you will be meeting someone who has been growing inside you for the last 40 weeks.
I truly am happy for you.
I've got about 32 weeks before I meet my second child.
Good luck with motherhood.

i think ya lady. i'm 39 weeks and that i've got woken up so nauseated the previous few mornings. I havn't vomited yet.... even with the undeniable fact that i think like will. that's kinda like morning disease. i'm not sure why it quite is going on. I went back to ingesting some gingerale and ingesting saltines interior the am like I did my first 4 months of being pregnant. helps a sprint. we are almost there!!! Congrats, and appropriate desires to you and toddler.
