Whatever you do, ask your doctor first, and make sure that you read the label on over-the-counter prescriptions. A visit to the dentist could also be a good idea!!!

The only pain killer a pregnant woman can take after the three month stage is paracetamol you can take the normal dosage but I personally didn't I tried to persevere with the pain taking only four paracetamol in th day instead of the recommended eight. I would advise you to check out with your midwife, district nurse or G.P before taking my advice you could even make a telephone call to your health centre and the practice nurse should be able to give you all the information you need.
Good Luck with your pregnancy and your wisdom tooth x x

NSAIDs non-steroidal anti-inflamitory drugs, paracetamol and neurofen to you and me, are the most effective painkillers to use.
BUT, long term use can result in low levels of amnotic fluid surrounding the baby and is therefore to be avoided.
My wife had extreme neck pain in the latter stages of her pregnancy and had avoided all painkillers throughout, when it got really bad we asked advice from our GP and he said a few tblets of paracetamol would be ok. Just don't take them for longer than the recomendations on the pack. This iss four days I believe.
If you are even slightly usure, seek advice from NHS direct, your midwife or GP

Think on it this way - if you were holding your baby in your arms & your baby had it's 1st tooth coming in - what would you do? You would call the Dr? You would check Web Md? Trust yourself to find the right answer. Most people are afraid of bothering Dr's late at night or after hours but that's what you pay them for. Call & I'm sure any one of them will appreciate what tooth pain in any form feels like. Good luck.

Paracetamol is ok. Anything without Asprin in it. I personally wouldn't take anything but then wisdom tooth pain is horrendous. It's worse than giving birth anyway! Phone N.H.S direct, it's safer than listening to different things on here. Good luck.

You can take parecetamol when pregnant. The dose is 1gram (which is two tablets) up to four times in 24 hours. I also recommend rinsing your mouth with warm salty water 4x a day. If the pain continues for more than 2-3 days I would see your Dr.

Paracetamol is completely safe in pregnancy. No more than dosage on packet and not for more than 24hrs without consulting your doctor. Do Not use Ibuprofen Codeine (except under prescription) Cold and Flu meds Any queries check with ob/gyn or doc

Everything you do during pregnancy should be cheecked by your doctors. Paacetamol is the only thing my midwife has told me to use. But seeking any form of medical attention on here my end up in a mess. So even if you dont want to go to doctors and feel your wasting their time. Give them a call they will be happy to help and glad that you took the initiative and sensible option of asking them, even if you feel its silly

All you can have is paracetamol. Good luck with the tooth pain, I had it the whole time I was pregnant and it nearly drove me insane, you can try swilling pre boiled warm salt water around the tooth, thats good too. Remember to spit it out though and ask at ur chemist if there is any gel u could put on it while u r pregnant.

If you take them the way the dentist writes them out to you will be fine.
They will usually write out lorcet (hydrcodone) for getting your teeth pulled. You will be fine, don't worry cause if there was any harm then the doctor would not write them out to you. I was on lorcet my entire pregnancy for migraines and for having a bad back but i only took them as needed. My son was born healthy and he still is so if i were you i wouldn't worry unless you abuse them.
Good luck and Congrats

You can take paracetamol, but you should consult your doctor or dentist first. Becareful with home remedies they can harm your baby more than the over the counter painkillers. Call the NHS Direct.
