Being in touch with yourself is a matter of taking time out to LISTEN and be TRUTHFUL.
1. Sit still
2. Allow thoughts to come
3. do not judge or rationalise
4. write it down - if that helps
5. be honest
6.don't say no thats not true - just because you don't want to face that side of yourself
7.be kind to yourself, so that you may open up (sounds weird, but you are a person too and if someone else was "mean" to you would you open up?)

judging your own inner feelings can only come with time. Maturity and awareness. Trial and error. For judging others its all about body language.

Are you referring to own or another person's? Let me answer for both.
Another person's inner feelings can be judged from the actions which can not lie except in the short term if intended to camouflage.
Our own inner feelings can be judged from our deep desires ...... they do not lie.

Are you referring to your own or others?
Judging your own is fairly easier but not evidently obvious: just listen to what your heart is trying to tell you and you will find out what your inner feelings are.
Others` inner feelings are substantially harder to judge, if not impossible!
I guess spending time with the person, having long, meaningful and profound discussions with them and also listening to what they`re trying to tell you should give you a strong indication or clue of what they are feeling deep inside their heart, mind & soul...

It cannot be ..... Such is the reason why man is individual..... What is inside him will be judged by only the only One who knows them most.....
It is like a box of candy.... each wrapped in individual foils.... neither can know what the other is inside because of the outer wrappings...All of differing colors....Though some are of the same colored wrappings, the only fondness among them is being inside that box..... Yet, there is only one judge among them and that is the one who put them there and the one who will pick them out......

Look for the shifting eyes & incongruent body language which will give it away if not real.
