All said and done, each individual thinks his is the best as for as culture is concerned. More interaction between different culture groups are required for a cultural understanding. May be this would serve for a cultural integration at a slow pace.

As per my understanding, it is compromising one culture to adopt new aspects or perspectives from another. I will give you a real life example. Last year, i moved to Germany, to take a German course. I went through a great deal of culture shock, but nothing compared to what the Turkish people experience here in Germany. Turkey is a muslim nation, which struggles to become part of the European Union, because of its governmental structure and other reasons, which may relate to the interpretation of what is considered just. They have heavier or harsher forms of punishments compared to those of the modern world, they believe in "An eye for an eye." So, with many Turkish people migrating to Germany in search of a better life, they bring their old beliefs and ways. Many change and adopt to the German lifestyle. Women are equal and allowed to work, and date around, etc. Some Turkish people, very sadly, do not respect and refuse to follow the laws of the German government, because they are on a temporary status or for personal religious reasons. They are refusing to integrate themselves to the German culture, to the German society, and laws. Now, I am not trying to offend anyone, I am a Hispanic person and I know that is how some people in the US view immigrants too. But this is very different, its on a higher level. What I noticed, is that a Turkish man can date around before marriage, while a Turkish girl can be killed in the honor of her family from her brother if she dares to even date a German guy. Now, this is not everyone, but in the last year, there were 2 cases. Turkish women usually do not talk to women such as myself or German women. So, this is why cultural integration is so important. To recognize the beauty and values of other cultures and to come up with some plan. I do not support the Turkish people who come and refuse to accept German ways, as I also am very much against my own kind, being Mexican or any other Latin American types who refuse to learn English when setting foot into the USA. I hope this explains what you are looking for. I do not mean to piss other people off, but sometimes the truth is hard to read. Peace.

Years of direct experience have led the FirstMatter team to an irrevocable conclusion – all business problems are rooted in cultural problems. Of course there are any number of issues from margin pressure, to regulation, to human resources questions, to competitive pressures which are essentially business-centric, but a company’s culture really dictates how well – or even if – those issues will be addressed. Great companies like Federal Express and Nike have great corporate cultures and enjoy great business success. Broken companies like Kmart and Arthur Anderson have dysfunctional, twisted cultures and businesses that are in shambles. In today’s business environment, characterized by a high level of consolidation and merger and acquisition activity, cultural problems become amplified. Almost inevitably, mergers result in the creation of two (or more) cultural “camps” whose partisans wage passive-aggressive corporate cultural wars until they eventually leave the company. The aggregate damage that this process of unconscious passive cultural creation causes is measured in billions of dollars.

cultural diversity doesn't create community. When we integrate we add our individuality to the group and take on the traits and customs of the group. This brings us into the group creating a community. Without it we will only isolate ourselves. Isolation can led us down a real negative path.
