is this alright or should i not let him? he was out on the street in 20 degree weather and i told him if he wanted a safe warm place to sleep then follow me and i would give him one. i also gave him 3 beers and a blanket and told him good night.

trust me. i am armed to the teeth and management wont say nothing. they got bums sleepin in the stairwells. like soylent green type stuff.

The gesture was kind but he should not be drinking beer, TRY hot chocolate or decaf coffee or tea, alchohol brings your blood vessels to the surface of your skin and you get cold faster (ever notice that drunks have red noses and cheeks that's why)
Make him a sandwich and be nice to him, that may be all he needs to get back on his feet. Who knows you may have helped a stranger that turns out to be an angel.Hebrews 13:2 KJV

Yeah, I am a sucker for homeless people too. I even let one stay in my house overnight (teenager). I convinced him the next morning to call his mother who agreed to come half way across the state to get him. Sad situation. The kid's dad had died suddenly--and that is who he lived with. He hadn't even seen his mother in years. He was just on the streets wandering around.
