Marillion

and UB40 did a reggae-themed cover of Sonny and Cher's "I Got You Babe," with Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders as a guest vocalist

Oh please! Fish left Marillion almost 20 years ago - he has been a solo artist since and has brought some amazing music and lyrics to the fans since. Steve Hogarth is the current lead singer of Marillion and they're due to release a new album called "Somewhere Else" next year. It pains me that people still say Fish, lead singer of Marillion when he spent only 8 years with them and made only 4 albums and they've made 9 albums without him! It also annoys me most people don't even know why he was called Fish. It wasn't because he had a drink problem (which he did) it was because of the length of time he spent in the bath when the band lived in the same flat when they first started out.

Second question is Sonny and Cher, sometime in the 60s and UB40 and Chrissie Hynde Covered it, but that's not my area of expertise!

The band with the lead singer called Fish is Marillion.

And the reggae band who covered Sonny & Cher's 'I Got You Babe' was a Birmingham based group, called UB40. The guest vocalist was Chrisie Hynde of the Pretenders.

Marillion had a lead singer named Fish. Fishbone had a drummer named Fish. I got you babe was sung originally by Sonny and Cher in 1965. UB40 has covered it with Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders. Hope that this helps.
