i have a wireless router it has been working fine and now all of a sudden my laptop and pc which are both connected to the internet wirelessly thru the router. loses the connection and then restarts it. the weird thing is i checked and it seems to happen every 25 minutes and also i look at the wireless connection stats and it doesnt show disconnected. Should i reset my router? unplug it? and plug it back in? thanks

this exact same thing happened to me! just unplug the router and then plug it back in. that's what i did and it automatically connects again within a few minutes of adjusting itself.

Here's what I'd do

1) Check for firmware upgrades for the router. Which can be downloaded from the manufactures website (e.x. www.netgear.com,www.linksys.com)

2) Reset the router back to factor default.

3) Set back up the router to your internet and whatever else you needed it to do. (or simply restart the router)

4) Change the channel it's broadcasting on. The deafult is 11 I believe. This is more than likely the source of your problems.

Once you've done this, if it still doesn't work, there may be an issue with the router and it's probably defective.

Do you have Some softwares for your Internet protection?
such as an antivirus protection and spywares,,
many times spy wares would take over your Internet connection and also other people with wireless wi-landers would hitch hide for free if you didn't set your router password protection. at least once a week I think you need to reset the router to change your ip address and such. good luck
