Donnie Darko was a good movie, weird but good. I just watched it maybe 1 1/2 months ago. I think it just got you thinking. I know it did me. I think I will watch it again after work. Frank is scary though.

Donnie Darko is a great film, but it is odd. It is one of those movies that makes you think so I would say it's safe to go ahead and watch the movie again. I'm also wondering if you watched the theatrical release of the film or the director's cut because I saw the original first and then the director's cut and thought that at first the director's cut was confusing, but then I realized that it was clearing things up quite a bit. It's okay to start thinking about your life, but don't take it to the extreme.

This, I believe, is a prime example of art bringing forth personal feelings from within us after viewing the artwork--which in your case is cinematic art. You simply understand the Donnie Darko character brought to life by the film's screenwriter--nothing more......I hope.
Shake it off and give it some time. If after a month or two, you still feel Twilight Zoned, maybe that's a Red Flag of warning and you should seek some professional counseling as a safe measure.

Donnie Darko isn't a scary movie. The rabbit may be somewhat creepy and he may freak you out rather, yet he isn't any longer undesirable in any respect. he's rather innocuous actual and merely someone in a more beneficial healthy so do not sweat it, haha. it truly is just one of those poser, sci-fi movie. no longer scary in any respect. in spite of the undeniable fact that it truly is large perplexing.

What's weird about it for us is that my wife and I woke simultaneously at about 3am in a hotel room in Queenstown NZ to find it playing on local TV.
We had to get the DVD out on our return and I think it was about the third viewing that we figured it out (sort of).
The weird rabbit/Frank leaves Darth Vader for dead and there are as many riddles as in the Beatle's Double White album.
I read that it was Drew Barrymore's first stint at producing - I'd encourage her to do more.
