How to get a closer shave " down there"?

I have shaved down there, but it just comes out stubly, how do I get a closer shave, also how to I keep from having those little red pimples?

I prefer waxing. Hurts like a *****, but it lasts longer, it is smoother and I rarely get bumps. I do suggest you use a clipper or scissors to get off as much hair as possible so It doesn't clog your razor. Use a razor with at least four blades. Use a new razor everytime because you will get a closer shave with a sharper blade. Shave in the direction of hair growth not against it ( though you may have to shave against to get that last bit of stubble) make sure your skin enough time to absorb the water to make it softer, and try using hair conditioner instead of shaving cream or gel. Simple heres a trick shave in the opposite direction the hair is growing if its pointed up from the upward position shave down. Ok Use Lotion first lather the hair with water cut it with scissors than apply the lotion to the hair do a nice shave up and down. Get the hang of it. I would use vaseline or a very soft lotion that would not irratate you down there. It will also make it where you don't have to shave everyday.
