Firstly, don't worry. My daughter wouldn't drink breastmilk either but was happily settled on formula. You need to go to the doctors and have him/her checked out for lactose intolerancy, just to be safe. If everything is ok move onto formula every baby is different and it hasn't done my daughter any harm. She is two now and has a very healthy appetite and a varied diet. She still has a cup of Cow and Gate Growing up Milk on a morning and before bed.

Will your child drink Breast milk from a bottle ?
Are you able to pump off your breast milk and bottle it ?
Obviously see a doctor or midwufe, but if the beby isn´t hungry then it isn´t going to drink.
There could be other reasons but without more info, I don´t think people can be of help.

Definitely talk to your midwife or breastfeeding counsellor as soon as possible. Maybe the attachment to the breast is a problem?
If you're in the UK, try the Breastfeeding Network supporterline, they do a great job.

Don't give up. Breastfeeding provides the best start for babies.

You could have your breastmilk tested. I know of some women that can't breastfeed because their milk is bad. How does the baby react to formula? It could be possible that the baby is lactose intolerant. Make an appointment to see your doctor to know for sure.

did you swap between bottle and breast? that might be why as the can get "nipple confusion" try formula milk which you add to boiled water and if baby still isnt eating go to our gp to see if there is anything wrong.

talk to your midwife asap. she will be able to help you get your baby to the right care, to make sure there isn't anything wrong. baby's usually prefer breastmilk as it's the perfect food for your baby and it's tastes sweeter than formula.
my boy who is now eight months rarely settles for a drink other than breastmilk to the point he sometimes pinches and throws tantrums!

That's too bad as it's healthiest for mom and baby.
So.....exactly what is your question? Are you trying to ask for help getting your baby to nurse? Ask a specific question and maybe we can give a better answer.
