I am an indian trying to move to singapore :If u could get me more info on these it would be g8:
1)whats the salaary range for a IT professional of 8 yrs of exp
2)how costly is schooling there
3)When is the academic year for the schools there...
4)if i shift my kid after his pre-kg here ,will he stand good change to get into lkg ?
5)whats the nominal cost of living per month (very approxiametly)

2) Nobody goes to school here
3) No school so no academic year

Answers:

1) $5000 - $10000/mth (depends on the company)

2) Pri school fees: $20 - 50/mth, Sec school fees: $30 - $60/mth, JC school fees: $40 - $80/mth, Poly school fees: $1900 - $2200/0.5yr for 3 yrs, Private or Government Uni school fees: $30,000 - $40,000 for 2 - 4 yrs.

3) Academic year for Pre-sch: 3 - 6 yrs old, Pri sch: 7 - 12 yrs old, Sec sch: 13 - 16 yrs old, JC: 17 - 19 yrs old, Poly: 17 - 20 yrs old, Uni: 19 - 22 yrs old (females) and 23 - 27 yrs old (males).

4) Yeah, if he comes to Singapore earlier, he'll be able to enrol into a good kindergarten!

5) Minimum standard of living: $2500/mth for expenses (if you've 1 - 2 kids with no elderly living together)

Welcome to Singapore!
(1) $6000 - $10000
(2) quite costly, from hundreds in primary school to about $20000 for 3-years university course
(3) jan-dec for primary and secondary school and junior college, think may-feb for polytechnic, aug-apr for university
(4) shouldn't be a problem, find a kindergarten near your house and enrol him, they accept quite easily to encourage education
(5) depends, think my household uses about $1500 per month..
