Twice, both times in 4th grade. Got it once from a girl at Vacation Bible School, and once from Elementary School. I still cringe everytime I hear that someone has it. I have very bad memories of it.

when I was little and I used to play under the sun a lot with "characters" from the neighborhood
I got scared when I learned that the lice can fly you off somewhere and then monkeys will eat them off your head
so there was a special comb (suyod) for it and some shampoo and mother used it all on me
none now though... :P

I once was cleaning a starling's nest out of the eavestrough and it was lousy. I stripped off outside, splashed gasoline in my hair, showered with scalding water 'till I was red, picked up my clothes with a stick and burned them. I won't go near a wild bird or nest again.

Yeah, when I was in the 5th grade! We got "checked" at school and they sent anyone who had lice home. So everyone knew who had it... that's just wrong!!! I'm still scarred!

No I haven't. I'm 38 years old and I've never had the meassles or chicken pox.

Never, and neither have either one of my children.
However, I itch whenever someone talks about it.

yes i did once. i am very clean, and shower daily but i just got them.. it is not bad really
