Slippers actually have a special direct connection to the earths core and cannot leave the atmosphere.
This phenomenon is related to the single sock mystery and experts agree that the solution to the single sock mystery will lead to answers regarding the special slipper connection.

You can test this by washing the slippers with a load of socks. If a sock dissapears in that load, the slippers will be noticably heavier as they are pressing themselves toward the earths core. If there is no sock dissapearance, there is no special activity in the slippers. Scientists believe that the sock escaping leaves a crack in space, and the slippers are just a little to large to get through.

Superman escaped Earth's gravitational pull, flew around it really fast, spun the earth in reverse thus reversing the direction of time, and saved the life of Lois Lane. Now that's true love!

Seriously though, to throw anything into space, you'd have to throw it hard enough to escape the pull of earth's gravity. It would have to go pretty darn fast (11 kilometers per second which is about 6.5 miles per second) for a pretty long time. Superman could do it. You can't.

Hope this helps.

you can just that the escape velocity of earth is 25000 miles per hour. If you could throw the slipper at such a speed you would succeed

Try it. Probably you'd succeed. I mean, that's practically impossible. For any object to escape from the earth's gravitational pull, it would have to move at a velocity more than something called as escape velocity . As far as my knowledge goes, no human or super human being has ever been able to do that
