I think you should try some bubble bath or something from a gag shop to see if she has a sense of humour.You can tell by a reaction as to if the person is all about material things in life or the fun behind the gift.

i was going to say that it depends on the person and that issue is still very valid.
how much have you been with this person? what do you talk about? what does she talk about with the other girls? where are your powers of observation??!
love....now that's a word! it's not compromises it's what you can do for your sweetie-pie and you'll find that it comes back at least tenfold. if you really wanted help you'd have started dating her and find out what she needs, wants and desires.
