so my beloved dog died a few weks before i came home for the holidays, but as soon as i came into the house, i felt his presents. he is still here, with the family, just not in physical form. i swear i can still hear him, see him out of the corner of my eye, feel him lay down next to me. it is such an odd feeling, but a good feeling, for i feel his love. it is as if this is where he wants to be, for the time being at least. maybe he will leave after we finally spread his ashes (we are still in debate on what to do with "him". we are disagreeing on where to spread 'em). maybe i'm crazy, but i feel his prescents right now, can almost hea him scratching at the back door window....

People love, but dogs love unconditionally. Love is a power that can not fully be understood. So it is very possible that you sense his presence. Dogs are far far smarter than people give them credit for and they are trully a gift from God to man.

I beleive you.I had a house guest,,a friends daughter from out of state, she said that at 10:30 that morning she heard a dogs nails walk across the living room floor to her chair & then walk to the kitchen. She did not know that I had a 16 year old dog that passed a few days before she arrived & "Nitey" would wake about 10:30 every morning & walk to me in my chair & then she'd walk to the kitchen looking for food morsels from the night before.
Iv also seen the ghost of my dog "Sundance" back in 1987.She was transparent & sitting in her favorite chair. She had run away & I searched for her day & night.I think that was her way of telling me to stop looking because she was now home.

I had three dogs for many years. In one summer two died from old age and the third got into the street and was hit by a car. The day she died the other two that had gone before her appeared, sitting in the living room with her between them. My daughter saw them just before she was told about the accident. YES they can come back. Love is a strong thing.

No haunting stories, but I thought I'd post the following...

"Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
ALL the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. Happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then together you and your special pet(s) cross the Rainbow Bridge."
