i've been reading a lot of documents over the web, black text and white background. the brightness of the white is hurting my eyes. is it possible to change the background color?

Yes of course I have made more than a few websites. In the settings you may click preferences and it may say background. I do not know which program you are using or website. If I knew I could give you more info. I know that you click change settings in 20megsfree is how I change the background in that program for my website.
