it's used to conceal or hide imperfections on your face that foundation alone may not hide. It just helps even out skin color. It is not intended to be used all over just in your trouble spots.

Maya,
A concealer is exactly what it's name represents. It is makeup made to "conceal" or "hide" imperfections of the skin. It's usually a lighter color of makeup worn on the foundation or base and usually applied under the eyes to make the eyes appear "brighter" or less tired. Sometimes it can be applied in various spots where one might have blemishes, in an attempt to hide them, as well. It is always best to blend it well with a makeup sponge to prevent making your face look like a clown. ;-) Once blended well, and when a light fluff of powder is applied to "set" the makeup afterwards, it can really make a difference in people that tend to have "dark circles" under their eyes or have various facial blemishes.
