It has the capability of replicate itself and execute itself. A virus is hidden inside another file, thus infecting the file. Spyware is a program that collects information about users without they consent.

So, antivirus is a piece of software able to detect viruses and clean the infected ones (removing the virus from the file). Antispyware is a program able to detect spyware and delete it.

No, spyware and virus are two different things. Again, spyware isn't a strong term, because it could be a trojan, downloader, dialer, adware, tracking cookie etc. etc. Anti-spyware and anti-virus are the software to remove spyware and virus from your computer.
