I can only think of one reason why people would like and respect someone that is full of themselves. A person that is viewed by others as arrogant and conceited are more likely to have not only a strong personality, but also a high self-esteem. People don't want to be around others that always put themselves down. I love people that are full of themselves mainly because they show me that they love and respect themselves.

i know a girl who's so full of herself, and i respect her as a person but i do not necessarily like her.

the best way to deal with it is not to let her get into you. you can be a better person than she is.

I think it's the same reason why we admire the BADS in novels and films, sometimes, but we would never behave the same way of course, we often like them simply because they show courage and seem to be invincible!
Personally people like that girl are simply disgusting, and even if she was really beautiful she would be disgusting all the same!! For sure!

The people who like and respect this snob are insecure. They see her arrogance as confidence (which it is, just WAY too much of it!), and since they want to be confident themselves, they admire this person...
But people end up realizing that the people who are really worth being friends with, who are the most confident with themselves, aren't the ones who flaunt it and brag all the time. Your time will come, young grasshopper.

I don't know if people respect her. Is she Hot? If I don't like a chick but she's hot I'll show her attention just get her in bed. Other wise it's easier to act nice to someone just so they shut up. If you say or do something they don't like you got to listen to them b@$%h and moan about it. If your just politely answer the way they want you to they go away. MAYBE YOU CAN'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER. SOMETIMES THINGS ARENT WHAT THEY SEEM. SOMETIMES WE FIND OUT THE HARD WAY THAT THINGS AREN'T ALWAYS WHAT THEY PERCEIVE TO BE. PERSONALLY I WOULD NOT LET MY NEGATIVE FEELINGS TOWARDS HER FESTER WITHIN MY HEART AND MAKE ME MISERABLE.
