It's probably a little late to order online unless you want to pay an obscene amount for express shipping.
I'm not sure of your boyfriend's taste, but a new outfit, shirt, pants, and undershirt, would be a nice gift.
A watch is also a nice suggestion.
I always like to give "gift baskets" of an assortment of smaller gifts rather than one big expensive one. For example, I bought my boyfriend tickets to a show he wanted to see along with an outfit to wear there.
If you're really worried about the impressiveness of your gift, it is always a nice gesture to include a nice and thoughtful card to top everything off and emphasize the meaning behind your giving.

try cologne - something nice like Black by Kenneth Cole, or just a scent that you would really like him to wear
Or get him his favorite movie, or a season of his favorite tv show. Amazon.com is having a really great sale on dvds right now (and if u spend 25$ from amazon shipping is free!)

It depends on your budget, but I would suggest concert tickets (ticketmaster.com), reservations to a ski resort or something fun like that nearby (this can probably be done online too), or a giftcard for dinner for two at his favorite restaurant.
Good luck :) and remember that you're the best present he could ask for.

I went through the same dilemma. I ended up getting a really good picture taken of me at the beach at sunset and framing it for him in a nice frame. It makes a nifty, uncostly, meaningful gift. Include a bag of his favorite candy if he is superficial (WINK!). Good luck, hope this helps!
