honda vin numbers are broken down like this

2nd -- manufacturer (h-honda, this never changes)
3rd -- vehicle type (m-pass. car built in japan, g-pass car built in us/canada, l-multipurpose pass. vehicle)
4th,5th,6th -- model (chassis code such as eg2, ej2, ef8 and so on)
7th -- body type and transmission (for your car this should be a 2 or 6)
8th -- grade (this number denotes the trim level of your car)
9th -- check digit (this is usually 0)
10th -- model year (this should be a 2 for 2002 year)
11th -- assembly plant (a-marysville ohio usa, c-sayama saitama japan, h-alliston ontario canada, L-east liberty ohio usa, s-suzuka japan, t-utsonomiya tochigi japan)
12th -- production sequence number (what number your car rolled off the line)

First digit of the VIN will tell you. 1 or 3 = USA, 2 = Canada

J= Japan

Look on the door jam or in the glove box....I have found the origin of some of my vehicles there in the past. (My Dakota was made in Warren City,MI and My current Chevy was screwed together in Mexico.)

But just taking a guess......I would say it (your Accord) was made in Marysville,Oh
