my gold chain got contact wiith mercury of broken thermometer .i want to remove it with out informing my parents

I had the same problem. One day I dropped the thermometer and it stained my gold mangalsutra as well as one bangle that I was wearing. That was some time ago. I did not do anything. And the stains slowly faded away with time and now there are none.
I believe it depends upon the extent of staining. I suggest you take it to some authorised and reputed jewellers and ask them what to do. Don't try anything with any unknown chemical or substance.

Heat it in a safe area that doesn't mind becoming contaminated by mercury (ie do not use an oven). The mercury will distil off.

You can get mercury sponges that soaks up the stuff well. Give it a good rinse or wipe in rubbing alcohol afterwards.

give a heat to your gold. the Mercury will evaporate.

Heat up to 250 oC for half hour.
