I agree with the previous posters -- the bibliography can be a great guide to suggesting further reading about topics that have interested you in a book. Not just for non-fiction books, either. Some of the best historical fiction that I have ever read I picked up on from checking out the bib. from a previous book.

At any rate, its worth a quick skim!
