only the name of super power will be changed .instead of the USA, the USSR would have become super cop .when the USSR was in existence there were no Islamic terrorists. only after the collapse of the USSR, ,Islamic terrorism spread in Chechnya, and in other provinces. when Yugoslavia was a socialist country, no Islamic terrorism.after collapse of socialist Yugoslavia, it had become a hot bed for divisive forces and genocide and as a result the country was divided

If we had lost the Cold War, the world would be increasingly subjected to Socialist/Communist Dictatorships (which it is anyway).
Here is a fact: The Communists defeated the US in the 1950s when they successfully thwarted Joe McCarthy's efforts to root their agents out of our government. The Venona Project revealed that McCarthy was correct - Communist agents were working in the highest levels of our government, even as the Secretary of the Treasury. He seriously underestimated their control over our nation.
Now that it is no longer possible to point out Communists as internal enemies of our nation, they have free rein to take over our school system, media broadcasting and political offices in order to make our nation bend to serve the needs of foreign Socialist/Communist states.
Their successful efforts to hand victory to the Communist North Vietnamese in the Vietnam war is an indicator of just how much power they have achieved in this nation.
So, we may have 'won' the Cold War but they 'won' a foothold in our own nation and are operating freely within our borders.
When I attended a Cindy Sheehan event hosted by the Veterans for Peace group, the handout at the door was the Revolutionary Communist Party newspaper. I am not kidding. I picked up a copy.

we would be able to drink alot of vodka without getting wasted and the alleged terrorists would be operating a monopoly of arab fast food restaurants.
