A lot of the answers are 2 dimensional because people like to really on some antiquated notions of hows things should be. Really if you don't know anything about clone research shut up! Cloning is great if it is meant to duplicate body parts and fix dna faults. There are humans being cloned right now most likely.
I don't think you can clone a persons intelligence and personality because that lies in the organ of the brain which is something we cannot duplicate yet. Sure over thousands of years instinctual reactions can develop. So there's no way two people with the same dna would act exactly alike. Personalities are developed by perception of environmental factors.
There is no way to create a superior race. The world is always changing to circumstance. They may be perfect for that geographical location for a small time. Perfection is a false ideal. Adaption and evolution is perfection. To chance to better a given circumstance is perfect you could say.

I think we should clone people certainly. My thing about cloning though would involve intense research into understanding the mind. In other words making a perfect duplicate of another human, but with the mind of a genius, or a person with alot of smarts. Think about how that would benefit society, you could learn everything you ever wanted to learn by your perfect clone.
It would be you, but just much smarter, the civilization or race of mankind would change for the better, and there wouldn't be so many lazy people in the world. If they just used the clones as learning expieriences then I'd be all for it. To clone a human and not make good use of the clone would be a very bad idea.
Normally though, Scientists are smart enough to know this and wouldn't just mindlessley clone a person with no motive for any kind of knowledge. So long as we could clone outselves, but put in a superior intellect where we could learn from out clones, then I'd be all for it, otherwise it would be a huge waste of time.

Well right now clones are the same age as the hosts. So if they cloned me you would get a 51 yr old woman. Hmm not fair to the clone not to have a past. Maybe you can cone me from some hair when I was 3. Then I can raise me.
I would say we need to study it more. I would also say no clones just for spare parts.

Who would you want to clone. There isn't anyone I like enough to want two of them. If you clone the different internal organs for medical reasons I think it's OK, as long as they don't clone them in an actual body. I think cloning whole people would be pretty pointless though.

except medical interest there doesn't look a authentic reason behind human cloning. Clones may be made for "alternative parts" in case of the unique individual's personal body having topics, in spite of the undeniable fact that the moral and moral implications of that are vast, and all of us (really technology fiction writers) is acquainted with that it may not in any respect artwork. Cloning animals doesn't make a lot experience both. Why clone a million dollar cow once you may breed one for free??

All these answers are so narrow minded, cloning is a great thing, were not talking "The Sixth Day" here with Arnie it's more like cloned embyos for stem cells to help cure deseases and cancers.
I'm all for it and all you religious freaks should stop trying to run the world.

I don't think the world we live in could find a way to clone people without totally abusing it-so NO, I'm against it. Now cloning spare organs, if they could do it-I'm with that.

Why bother? There's too many of us by natural methods. None of us (NONE OF US GEORGE) are perfect so for sure you'd be cloning tendency to mental and physical imperfections thus inflicting those on another being who didn't ask to be cloned. Or did they?!

I'm not for it, or against it. I think you need to ask instead, why should we clone. After all, the population is reproducing so fast, what purpose would cloning serve?
