Are the people answering "Italy", have even been in Italy? Apparently, they don't know France or may have wrong ideas about it. Yeah, Italy is fun, good food if you like carbs, but France has great food and has a lot to offer as well. I think you should try both of them. Start in one for a few days and then go to the next one and you'll have your idea. I believe every country or every culture is worth to be discovered, it changes your view on the world. (I am talking with experience). So after you're done with France and Italy, try Spain or even Switzerland, it's a lot of fun!

So much to see in both - but travelling around is somewhat easier in Italy, simply because of the geography - you can start at one end and work your way to the other. To really do France you have to do a lot more travelling, and would need a lot more time.

Italy. you'll have more things to see then France. Of course, Paris is much beautiful then Rome, but for the rest..you have to chose Italy.

Italy......... they taught the French to cook & they take much greater care preparing the food over there...... let's face it, which sounds more appealing? Pasta or Snails & Frogs legs?

It has more history...... with places like Venice, Rome, leaning tower of Pisa, Florence etc.

Is slightly further south, so be slightly warmer.

French people are regarded as some of the rudest people in the world, while Italians seem more warm & friendly.

I've never been to either, but I've studied French for 6 years and I'm over it...nothing against the French per se but I think I'm officially super saturated with the language and culture for right now. But I would choose Italy especially Venice because of the canals it just seems amazing...and I've heard the food is beyond delicious too!
