To be honest enough, added with some brilliant individual performances from Ganguly,Laxman,Sreesanth,Kumble and others, it was a total team spirit and application that won India the match against South Africa. It was a rare sight to watch every member of the team applying themselves (no matter even if some failed).

Yeah! its team effort in general. But don't forget South African's pride has been questioned. Also, the next two test are at more bouncy pitches and alien to India namely Cape town and Durban (Remember 1997 tour of South Africa where India made 60 odd and 100 in first and second innings respectively). In this regard Indian's have to forget the historic win in South Africa and have put their heads down and concentrate on the remaining two games. Also, the South Africans will make an alround effort to square the series and to win it in the Durban match. On the other side Indian's have to bring in all their experience and have to show a better batting display. Still our bowling lacks depth and Sree may be over the moon for his efforts. He needs to be told that nothing is over yet. On the other hand its time for Sachin (to make a century), Rahul (to hold the innings together), Saurav (to show his class), VVS (to show he is special), Viru(to remember his first century), Wasim (to remember his innings in West Indies).....in the remaining matches. Also, in case.....the rain gods are with the Indian Team.

but no credit can be given for their batting display, their combined totals doesnt even give 500, and had SA scored another 100 runs in the first innings India would have lost the test.
