Well, I was raised on cow's milk until about the age of 18, when I just stopped drinking it by choice. I wasn't a vegetarian then, I just could no longer drink it. Yes, then I found out there was soy milk and I started drinking it then, at the age of 20, and I still do today. Later on I tried rice milk, and found it doesn't have the thickness of soy. It usually has a watery consistency, but here where I live rice milk it is mixed with peanuts and sugar, so there is some protein/sugar added. I think all three give you a mucus build up, so it helps to drink water or tea sometime after. As for my preference -- I still drink soy milk today.

OK I won't say it, but it beats the rest for coffee creamer. Other than that I prefer whole cows milk. *

I prefer soy, I think it's what has kept me from having hot flashes as I get older. They say soy is one of the best things for that, and I've never had a hot flash! I also like the taste of it better.
