no, i do not think mussolini invented bacon because before WWII my grandma and her family were eating bacon, unless, of course, he invented it before the war and before my grandma was born. Hahahahah! And there is nothing wrong with italians, my great-grandfather was italian! And he rocked! He is dead now and i miss him!

Bacon was around rather earlier than Mussolini. The word itself is Germanic and goes back at least into the 11th century.
.........and yes, everyone, Italians do "rock" but I don't think of Mussolini as someone who "rocks".
